It’s so important to take time off in order to reset for the new year. We’ve asked around our team and curated a collective list of what our team is getting up to this holiday period. 

Bondi to Bronte Coastal Walk 
A well-known Sydney trip, the Bondi to Bronte Coastal Walk. The walk is approximately 4 km and it’s suggested to allow 1.5 hours walking time. Stroll along the gorgeous coastal sites and stop at the local cafes, pubs and parks along the way. 

Lights of Christmas 
This year, Sydney’s Lights of Christmas celebrates 10 years of festivities. The event showcases community choirs and performers, along with elaborate light displays, kicking off nightly from 7:30 pm. 

Carols by the Sea
Over in Bondi on December 11 you can join in a free session of Carols by the Sea. It’s the perfect way to kick of Christmas celebrations for the family by the beach. 

Seafood & Sunshine at Balmoral
Enjoy one of Sydney’s more secluded beach gems. Head down to Balmoral beach and hit the local fish & chip shop for locally sourced seafood and soak up the sunshine. It doesn’t get much better. 

Bombay Sapphire x Alan Walsh Exhibition: The Love of Gin, Tales Old and New
Spirits are in abundance this year. The Barber Shop on York St is hosting an exhibition in partnership with Bombay Sapphire & Alan Walsh; The Love of Gin, Tales Old and New. Showcase a series of specially designed original prints from British visual artist Alan Walsh, you can also experience the latest collaboration between the artist and Bombay. 

Four Pillars Gin Pop Up
Four Pillars are not ones to shy away from the festive season. The Melbourne distillery have become known for their incredible limited release Christmas Gin over the past few years, along with other curious creations. This year you can find Four Pillars showcasing some of their best work in their pop up in Westfield Sydney Myer on George St including their seasonal release and a series of Christmas “byproducts”. 

Carols in the Domain 
Join in the iconic Carols in the Domain. Tickets for both the live session and dress rehearsals are available to raise much needed funds for The Salvation Army this Christmas. 

Fish Market Marathon 
Every year before the final Christmas rush, the Sydney Fish Markets open for a mega 36 hour Seafood Marathon. The shopping affair runs from 5am, Monday 23 December right through to 5pm Christmas Eve.

Sydney Zoo 
Having opened Saturday 7th December, Sydney Zoo is the latest animal attraction for family fun this Summer. See 2,000 animals across 16hectars of Sydney’s western suburbs. 

The Big Bounce Australia
Who said bouncing castles were just for children? A giant space-themed bouncing castle is due to hit Sydney Friday 24th January 2020. Bounce around The Big Bounce, a 300-metre inflatable obstacle course and a three-part space-themed wonderland.

New Years Eve In The Park 
On New Years Eve, Victoria Park will transform into a lively music festival appropriately named, NYE In The Park. Dance into the next decade with the likes of Hermitude, Girl Talk, Crooked Colours, SAFIA and so many more! 

Festivals in Sydney 
Along with NYE In The Park, there will be an abundance of music festival inhabiting Sydney and surrounds this summer including Field Day, Lost Paradise, St Gerome’s Laneway Festival, Electric Gardens and FOMO 2020.
