A robotic art tool that works on any surface

This incredible invention, called Scribit, will be unveiled at Milan Design Week on 25 April. It is created by Italian architect, Carlo Ratti. The robot connects to the internet and the possibilities for the event world are endless; on site signage and autonomous artwork is a major development.

The robot is made up of just two nails and a power plug. When you think ‘robot’ you immediately assume a complicated process of use and installation. Wrong! It takes 5 minutes to setup and new or existing content can be sent via the internet straight to the device. Its ‘engine’ allows it to move, draw, erase and re-draw content as many times as is needed.

When can we get one!?
